Long Distance Team Captain: Ryan Grubb
Ryan Grubb is extremely knowledgeable about the sport and is always eager to share his triathlon knowledge with others.
Ryan is a full time professional with a family who finds time to train for multiple Ironman events each year, while also making time for family rides with wife, Laurin, swim chauffeuring son, Liam, and gravel rides with friends. Ryan is the epitome of an Ironman athlete, putting his most into everything he does.
Ryan’s recent race resume includes two Iconic Ironman events in 2023 finishing Oceanside 70.3 in 5:29:54 and Ironman Lake Placid in 12:08:09. Ryan complimented those performances with a 2nd place age group and 13th place overall finish at Kinetic Triathlon Festival (Lake Anna), posting the 2nd best overall bike split. Ryan closed out the season with an age group win at Watermans 70.3 going under 5 hours with a 4:54:55.9, 15th place overall male. Ryan started 2024 with a next level 10:58:51 at Ironman Texas.
When Ryan isn’t out riding blistering paces, he’s volunteering his time and giving back to others by helping on the Ironman MD bike course and leading the S.E.T.--MMTC Youth Team on training rides to teach them critical bike handling skills.
