Syndicate Endurance Team (S.E.T.) and SetRacing.Org has Huge Success at the 2025 Stop, Swap, and Save

Writer: Subir Bhatia Subir Bhatia

Syndicate Endurance Team (S.E.T.) and SetRacing.Org was the featured multisport and triathlon club at the East Coast’s largest indoor bicycle swap meet and consumer bike expo. On Sunday, February 16th, 2025, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm S.E.T. had prime real estate at the expo when over 4000 people made the trip from Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington DC, Delaware, New Jersey, New York and beyond to spend the day at the Carroll County Ag Center in Westminster, MD!  Attendees came looking for road bikes, mountain bikes, triathlon bikes, BMX bikes, clothing, bike parts, cycling accessories, vintage, new or used, and S.E.T. was in attendance to share the message that triathlon and multisport, like cycling, is a sport for everyone.

Founders Henry and Case Shoemaker answered questions about how to make the transition into multisport and shared details on the S.E.T. Beginner Triathlon program.  9-year-old S.E.T. Youth Triathlon Team member Grace Shoemaker talked to youth athletes and parents about what it takes to be a youth triathlete.  5-year-old Miranda Shoemaker is the youngest S.E.T. cross country team member, but also one of the team’s most decorated runners.  Miranda demonstrated some of the fun games our youth team uses to develop agility.

The Shoemakers were joined by S.E.T. Coaching partner, Cassandra Burke, of Catalyst Performance Lab, and S.E.T. Racing Pro Team Captain, Meg Dirito.  Coach Cassandra spoke with avid cyclist about how they could pair cycling with swimming, running, or both to make multisport or triathlon a part of their lifestyle.  Meg talked to experienced athletes about her first season on the Ironman Pro Series tour and qualifying for the Xterra World Championship.  Meg was joined by daughter Lilly Dirito, a decorated S.E.T. Youth Team triathlete and York YMCA swimmer.

Several S.E.T. Youth and Adult Team members were in attendance and the S.E.T. team tent was inundated with requests about how to become a part of the multi-sport community.  For more information on how you can join the S.E.T. community learn more at https://www.setracing.org/ or contact us at henry.shoemaker1@gmail.com.
